Middle Saxon Village Development in Cambridge

Richard Mortimer will give a talk about the development of Cambridgeshire villages in the middle Saxon period (650 -850 AD), including why to the north the majority of village names end in ‘ham’, while in the south they more often end in ‘ton’.
