Model of the Romano/Celtic temple made in 1979 by E C Price of the Great Chesterford Archaeology Group (now Chesterford History & Archaeology Society) and used here as part of an archaeology exhibition. The temple which lies on a hill to the east of Chesterford is thought to have replaced an Iron Age shrine.  It was probably built during the 2nd century and was deliberately destroyed during the 4th.
