Mill Farm Labour Account Book for 1940 containing the names of the farm workers and the type of work done to earn their wages. On 5th April 1940 they had a wage increase of 1/6 per week. One of the better paid was H Squirrel who earned £2.5.6 a week in April, rising to £7.16 .5 in  August when during the harvest all were given a bonus of £4.10,
