SUMMARY:Visit to Kelvedon Hatch Nuclear Bunker
DESCRIPTION:Initially built in 1952–53 as part Britain’s air defence network, it was converted in the 1960s into an emergency regional seat of government site, tasked to organise the survival of the population and continue government operations in the event of nuclear war.  Entrance fee:  Adults £12, Family: £30 (up to 2 Adults and 2 Children) – reduced prices if we can confirm 15 visitors.  The bunker is situated 3.5 miles south of Chipping Ongar: car sharing to be arranged.\n
